A unique and extremely cheap folder compared to the boring plain ones :)

This project is so easy. If you go to the thrift store you can but an old record for .50 cents, or 1$ at the most. Take the record out, cut up the cardboard case and you have yourself a vintage folder! Make sure you get a record that has a cool cover. Cool cover = cool folder.

This project is so easy. If you go to the thrift store you can but an old record for .50 cents, or 1$ at the most. Take the record out, cut up the cardboard case and you have yourself a vintage folder! Make sure you get a record that has a cool cover. Cool cover = cool folder.

Instructions

Start with an old cardboard record folder like this :) (take out the record obviously haha)

  2. Small img 2798 1310505048

Once you've chosen your record, you must cut apart the top and the bottom so that it opens up like a foler.

  3. Small img 2799 1310505215

Then, using a regular folder or a piece of paper, measure how big you want your folder to be. Mine came out to be 9.5" x 12". Keep the extra that you cut off.

  4. Small img 2800 1310505462

To make the pockets on the inside, but the two thicker extra pieces that were cut off and position them so that they lay diagonal across each side. Put them so that they touch corner to corner with the edges. A triangular piece will be hanging over the edge but that will be cut off.

Glue those pieces down. ONLY glue the edges of the pockets closest to the sides of the folder!! Otherwise no papers will be able to slide into the pocket. Cut off the extra triangle pieces.

Then your done! I like to round the corners to make it look a little neater :) You could also punch holes in it too!
