This is not only cheap to make, but uses up old buttons....and gives you an excuse to shop for new ones! It's really easy to make and is fabulous as a present for a vintage-loving person! I hope you enjoy the project! P.S: I used the linen sewing thread - just incase you're wondering... :) P.P.S: The close-ups of the buttons are of my special 'vintage-looking' buttons!

This is not only cheap to make, but uses up old buttons....and gives you an excuse to shop for new ones! It's really easy to make and is fabulous as a present for a vintage-loving person! Instructions

  1. Measure and cut the thread/ribbon to the size you want it. You could have it really long or you could have it a medium length - like mine.

  2. Thread on all your buttons, leaving an even space in between them. If you want you can tie a knot before and after each button to make sure it's extra secure but they do stay on the thread on their own. Be sure to leave a couple of inches at the top so you can tie it.

  3. Tie a knot or bow and - ta da a perfectly perfect vintage necklace!
