Vegetarian Corn Dogs

Funfair inspired corn dogs made with Quorn sausages

You Will Need (10 things)

  • 6 Quorn dogs
  • 6 Skewers
  • 100 g Polenta
  • 100 g Flour
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 200 ml Soya Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ tsp Mustard Powder
  • Vegetable Oil

Steps (8 steps, 45 minutes)

    Start by sticking the skewers into the Quorn sausages.

    Dust the sausages with a little flour.

  3. 3

    Whisk together the flour, polenta, sugar, baking powder and mustard powder in a jug.

    Crack in the egg and whisk in the milk until well combined.

  5. 5

    Pour the batter into a tall glass and dip each sausage into the batter.

    Heat a thin layer of vegetable oil in a frying pan and start frying a couple of corndogs. Don't worry if the batter spreads a little while cooking.

    Once golden on the bottom, turn the corn dog over and fry the other side.

    Serve with a drizzle of mustard!
