Step 1Start by sticking the skewers into the Quorn sausages.

Step 2Dust the sausages with a little flour.

Step 3Whisk together the flour, polenta, sugar, baking powder and mustard powder in a jug.

Step 4Crack in the egg and whisk in the milk until well combined.

Step 5Pour the batter into a tall glass and dip each sausage into the batter.

Step 6Heat a thin layer of vegetable oil in a frying pan and start frying a couple of corndogs. Don't worry if the batter spreads a little while cooking.

Step 7Once golden on the bottom, turn the corn dog over and fry the other side.

Step 8Serve with a drizzle of mustard!
