This project I started at a rainy day (as usual in the Netherlands). I founded some old vases at the loft and I started to redecorating them. Here is my "how-to".
This project I started at a rainy day (as usual in the Netherlands). I founded some old vases at the loft and I started to redecorating them. Here is my "how-to".
Choose your kind of rope/dread. You can use any kind of rope you want. For the first vase I used wool, the second vase I used some rope from my fathers workplace, don't know how it's named. It's easier to choose some kind that is long enough. I just the full ball of wool.
Choose a vase. It's easier with a straight vase (like the second one), because otherwise the rope will slip off the vase.
Start to wrap! You have to get once around the vase and then make sure the rope goes over the beginning of the rope, so he stays at his place. Warning: this part of the wrapping is not easy, it may be to loose. Make sure that it is tight enough!
Wrap around. Go on from top to bottom. You may have to know how far you go by yourself.
Finish. When you think you are ready, you must attach the rope. Make sure the rope is tight enough. Then you have to cut of the rope and make sure it is not to small, otherwise the rope will let go.
