You Will Need (5 things)
- Soy Wax
- Glass Jar
- Candle Wick
- Drinking Straw
- 2 Chopsticks
Steps (5 steps, 20 minutes)
-
1
Wash and thoroughly dry a glass jar in preparation.
-
2
Place a pre-waxed wick into the jar and balance a wooden skewers or chopstick on either side of the wick, taping them together at both ends to keep the wick secure.
-
3
Gently melt soy wax flakes in a saucepan, stirring until fully liquid. Using a food thermometer heat the wax to approximately 65 degrees (check your particular brand for the exact temperature).
-
4
Carefully pour the wax into the jar, avoiding the wooden sticks. Be very careful as the wax is hot.
Leave it to set - overnight is best. -
5
Once set, remove the wooden sticks and pop a drinking straw with an umbrella in it onto the wick for decoration.
