Note: If you want to go for the monotone look (like the pinks and reds) try to pick colours from the same "family".

Gather the tulle. Do this by using the floss that most closely matches your tulle. Thread using a running stitch (2cm apart) down the long edge of the tulle. You will want to "bunch" the tulle into a circle shape by tacking the "end" of the tulle tightly with the beginning of your running stitch.
At this point you should check to see how much of your granny square this tulle "bunch" covers. If it is bigger than the granny square you can bunch the tulle into a puff-like shape by using your needle/floss to "pick up" your tulle 1/2 way to the outside edge. Do this at 12o'clock, 3o'clock, 6o'clock, and 9o'clock going around. Tack your embroidery floss in the middle but don't knot or cut the floss yet.
Assemble hearts and button. Now that the tulle fits nicely on the granny square you will cut two hearts out of two different pieces of felt. One should be a bit bigger than the other. Using your floss from your tulle you will thread through the centre of the biggest heart, then the smaller heart and then up through the button.
Once you have them all lined up you will go down through the button, the hearts, the tulle bundle and through the granny square. Knot your floss on the back of the granny square. Go back up through the button and back down again. This will double anchor the assemblage to the granny square. Lastly, knot the floss to the square.
Using the same colour floss or the second colour attach your bling buttons/gems to the tulle. Do this lightly and securely ensuring the bling doesn't weigh down the tulle.
Bling!
Attach pin back. Cut out your third felt heart and using floss tack the pin back to the heart and knot off. Before you cut the floss position the heart on the back of the granny square and whip stitch the heart to the square (being careful not to pull at the tulle).
After you've gone around the entirety of the heart, knot the floss twice to ensure it doesn't unravel and weave the floss into the square, cutting off excess.
Adorn yourself! Pin this baby to your dress, your hoodie, or even a hat or scarf and show your LOVE with pride.
