Water decals are widely available and can be purchased in sets for just one or two dollars. They make creating nail art really easy, and the finished results are neat and very professional.

You Will Need (6 things)

  • 5 Different Coloured Nail Polish
  • Top Coat Nail Polish
  • Nail art water Decal
  • Water
  • Scissors
  • Cotton Balls

Steps (10 steps, 30 minutes)

    You first need to purchase some water decals. Choose what ever design you like. These decals are find metallic gold dotted desins.

    These decals will create watermelon designs.

  3. 3

    Next select a nail polish and paint your nails in that colour. The colour you choose will depend on what decals you are using.

    Make sure you wait until the polish is dry before you start to apply the water decals.

    After your nails are dry, cut out each water decal you will use on your fingers and soak them in some water.

    After about 30 seconds to a minute, the water decal will slide off the backing paper.

    Here is another design water decal, ready to be placed on the nail.

    Using tweezers, gently place the water decal onto your nail. You will be able to move it around quite a bit whist it is still wet.

    When you are happy with it's position, gently blot it with a bit of tissue.

    When there is no water residue still on the nail, finish your manicure with a layer of top coat.

    With the design, all the card images are water decals.

    This design was created by painting the nails with only one colour, watermelon pink, and then placing the water decals on the nails.

    The water decals had the green tip, the black dots for pips as well as a fine silvery stripe at the french tip.

    This corset design was created by painting only 2/3rds of the nail with pink polish with a M shape at the top.

    A tooth pick and some black polish was used to add the small dots along the top of the M.

    The water decals were were fine laces and were placed on last.
