This is officially the cutest flash drive. Ever. This is not debatable =] Due to the interest, I'm currently working on a how-to. Check back soon!
This is officially the cutest flash drive. Ever. This is not debatable =] Due to the interest, I'm currently working on a how-to. Check back soon!
Get a teddy bear! When choosing a flash drive, be sure to get one that closes just by pushing, not by clicking together, otherwise you might cover it and not be able to close it afterwards
Find the seam that connects the head of the teddy bear to the body. Get your seam ripper and carefully take the seam out. If you accidentally loosen some threads that you didn't intend to, go back and sew those back up now.
Now get your scrap fabric. Measure out enough to cover the holes you just made between the head and body (2 pieces), and cut these out with some seam allowance. You may want to hem the edges so they don't fray if you're not using felt or something, because this will be holding the stuffing in!
Take the cap off of your flash drive. Put one end (the part that sticks into the computer) onto your fabric, and trace and cut a slit large enough for it to go through. Do the same with the cap. Note: you may want to use a fairly thin fabric for the first part, otherwise the flash drive may not close completely.
Hot glue gun time! Hot glue the piece of fabric to the cap, making sure to glue AROUND the cap, and not ON the edge. Do the same with the actual flash drive, making sure to keep away from the silver part that goes into the computer.
Stick the flash drive and cap into their respective parts of the teddy bear, and sew the fabric to the bear, making sure to cover all stuffing holes. Note: Make sure at this point that your flash drive will line up with the cap when you put the head on!
Put the head on the bear. Now take your wide ribbon (wide, so it'll cover the Frankenstein cut you just made around the neck), and wrap it around and tie a nice bow. When you have this positioned, sew the top edge of it onto the HEAD ONLY of the bear.
Do any necessary touch-ups, clip off your thread ends, straighten out the bow, and go amaze your friends! =D
