I wanted to spruce up my old cardigan instead of just throwing it away. I had some Crochet Flowers laying around the house, and alot of scrap fabric and buttons.I put all these together to upcycle my cardigan.
I wanted to spruce up my old cardigan instead of just throwing it away. I had some Crochet Flowers laying around the house, and alot of scrap fabric and buttons.I put all these together to upcycle my cardigan.
Get out all of your fabric scraps, Cute buttons, beads, pearls and old cardigan.I also had alot of crochet scrap items like a rose and leaf.
Cut your cardigan to the desired length.
Use Fusible bonding strips to hem the bottom of the cardigan.
Aline the strip with your cardigan and cut. It is best to hem it at 1" in. I did this in 3 parts. Right Front, Left Front, and Back.
Follow the instructions on the package of how to fuse the hem.
Arrange the embellishments the way your desire. I used an old scarf and rolled it up to create a rose. I used decorative buttons, pearls, and Large acrylic jewels.
Sew on the Roses, leaf, and Buttons. Glue on the acrylic jewels. It is best to use a fabric glue. Let it dry and your done!
