Find a nice used leather belt in good condition with no cracks or damage. Assemble supplies. Measure and cut a piece from the belt that is your wrist measurement PLUS 2 INCHES. If you want it to be loose add and additional 1/2 in or more to your taste. One inch on either end needs to over lap for the snap closure.

2
Mark two spots on either end of the belt at least 1/2 inch in from the end and centered on the leather. Use leather punch to create an hole. Following manufacturers directions add a snap closure to either end of the belt.
Use a coordinating permanent marker to tint the cut edges of the leather as needed. -
3
Cut a shape from a tin container capturing the design you like best.
sand the edges smooth. -
4
Hole punch two small holes on either side of the tin piece.
Use the tin as a guide by placing it on the cuff in your desired position. Mark the leather through the holes in the tin and punch the leather in these locations.
Add a thin layer of adhesive glue to the surface of the tin and apply it to the leather being careful to match up the holes. -
5
Clamp tin in place to dry.
Once set, use a thin gauge [22 or 24G work great] wire to 'sew' the tin to the leather on each side.
Twist the wire together to secure and tap flat with a hammer.
Cut a small piece of cloth or leather and use it with adhesive to cover the twisted wire and protect the wrist of the wearer. -
