After redoing my room and placing it with lovely gray – cream furniture I didn't have enough space left for a regular writing-table so I decided to do it myself...

You Will Need (5 things)

  • Acrylic Paint
  • Sand Paper or sanding machine
  • Paint Roller
  • cheap, old, etc Commode
  • Paint Brush

Steps (5 steps, 360 minutes)

  1. 1

I bought a cheep JYSK (shop similar to IKEA) commode and started working on it :)

  2. 2

First I sanded it whit my trusted machine...

  3. 3

... but not too deep because it is not real wood and if you go to deep you will end up with surface which is not really suitable for painting.

  4. 4

I took picture I liked (and which was easy) and remade it into black and white one.

  5. 5

Then I painted it gray (used a roller to get a little bit of tecture) and put on my little b/w graphic. First I tried to do it the simple way and use stencil technique but I suck at it, so I had to redo it all with a pencil, ruler and thin paintbrush (took me 12 hours!!!).

    * You can see, that it is nor really finished, because there are some details to perfect I can't get tabletop which is the right length, but I hoping to get it soon :)
