Separate six eggs and whisk the whites until they form stiff peaks.
Pop the yolks into a separate bowl with the sugar.
Whisk the egg yolks into the sugar until creamy.
Sieve in the cocoa.
Fold the cocoa into the eggs.
Fold the egg whites into the egg yolk and cocoa mixture.
Pour the batter into a rectangular pan lined with baking paper.
Bake for 30 minutes at 160'C.
Cream together the icing sugar and butter.
Melt the dark chocolate and mix into the icing.
Spread the top of the cake with icing.
Carefully roll the cake into a log.
Cut a few inches off either end and arrange at the side of the log like branches.
Coat the entire cake with icing.
Use a fork to add a wood grain to the cake.
Leave to set then serve with a speech bubble and a few acorns or leaves.
