Tie on Twigs Carefully bend the twigs in place around the wire ring and use short lengths of string to tie them in place. Continue until the wire ring is completely covered with and concealed by the twigs. Trim any very long twigs with scissors.
Paint Leaves Lay the dried leaves facing upwards on a large piece of paper and paint each one with gold or silver paint. Let them dry thoroughly and apply a further coat to each leaf if better coverage is required.
Glue on Leaves Apply three or four dabs of glue to the back of a leaf and stick it to the twigs. Continue to glue on the leaves, placing them at regular intervals and alternating between silver and gold, until the wreath is covered with a layer of painted leaves.
Finish Off Tie the length of gold ribbon at the top of the wreath and make a bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon on the diagonal to prevent them from fraying.
