If you are all set to gather and throw all those twigs from your front and back yard into your yard waste bag, you might want to pause that and look what you can do with them.

Gather some twigs. Make sure you use sturdy twigs and not those that can easily break. Clean away some loose bark and dirt.
Form a tree trunk shape by placing the sticks together. Try to get the thicker twigs for this part.
Once you have figured out which bunch to put together as the trunk, tie it tight in a bundle with brown thread or string at the bottom and top.
To make the branches, insert the twigs on both sides. Cut up the twigs in different lengths if you want.
Secure the twigs with brown thread. Just find a bunch you can tie up together. So may have a few bunches tied up on both sides.
Use glue gun to hold the bunches tight together. find spots at the back area where you can place hot glue on the twig bundles.
Cut out bird shapes and tear drop shapes as wings.
Glue the shapes together.
Cut up smaller paper squares. Loop brown thread and glue it in between the back of the bird cut out and the paper square cut out.
Hang the bird cut outs on the twigs and it is all set and ready as a wall decor.
