You Will Need (3 things)
- Yarn Needle
- 6 ½ mm Crochet Hook
- Wool Bulky Yarn
Steps (9 steps, 60 minutes)
-
1
1) ch 128
2) Starting in the second ch from the hook, half double crochet 127 stitches across (you might need to add or subtract stitches on your foundation chain depending on how big you head is)
3) Do 2 more rows of 127hdc (3 rows in total). Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Lie the headband in a circle so the 2 ends meet up -
2
Twist one arm of the headband
-
3
Twist the arm of the headband again
-
4
Sew the 2 ends together
-
5
You will have a big loop with 2 twists. Keep both twists on the same side. In my picture, they are on the bottom
-
6
Grab the top part of the headband and bring (like a half twist) over the bottom part
-
7
Grab the headband by the middle. And bring the loops together, so they sit on top of each other.
-
8
Sew the 2 layers of the headband together
-
9
Sew through both layers of the cross to secure it in place. Finish sewing all the way around the headband and fasten off. The headband is complete.
