Tunisian Chocolate Orange Cake
A flourless chocolate orange cake with triple sec and ground almonds.

This Tunisian Orange Cake is made with Triple Sec to give it a more indulgent twist.

You Will Need (13 things)
- 200 g Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 300 g Ground Almonds
- 40 g Cocoa
- 2 Oranges
- 2 oz Adnams Triple Sec
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- ¼ tsp Salt

For the icing
- 100 g Icing Sugar
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- Crystallized Ginger
Steps (11 steps, 45 minutes)

Whisk together the sugar and eggs.

Grate in the zest from an orange and then squeeze in the juice.

Add the triple sec.

Mix in the ground almonds, baking soda, cocoa and salt.

Scrape into a greased baking tin.

Bake at 180'c for 45 minutes.

Slice the second orange into thin slices.

Top the cake with orange slices.

Pour the sugar for the icing into a sauce pan and mix with a little water.

Bring to the boil and then add the triple sec before removing from the heat.

Pour the syrup over the cake and sprinkle with crystalized ginger pieces.
