*How to choose a trench coat and scarf
Seek out a large men’s size for the coat. For the scarf we recommend bold prints like the chain pattern on the model.

Iron lightweight fusible interfacing onto entire scarf.

You Will Need (3 things)
- Trench Coat
- Scarf (for appliqué) 36 x 36 in (90 × 90cm)
- Lightweight Fusible Interfacing (for appliqué). As needed.
Steps (5 steps, 180 minutes)

Cut the coat to desired length. Cut sides and along the underarms or sleeves.

Open the sleeve and side and baste lining to outer fabric to prevent shifting. Finish lining and outer fabric together on each cut edge. For the hem, baste lining and outer fabrics together.

For the underarm and side edges on the front side of the coat, fold the edge toward the wrong side and sew.

Sew the underarm and side edges on the backside together, right sides facing (press seam allowance toward back).

Add seam allowance to scarf elements that will become appliqués and cut out. Position the appliqués on coat and blind stitch.
