You Will Need (13 things)

  • 185 g Plain Flour
  • 110 g Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate Of Soda
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 3 tsp Mixed Spice
  • 140 g Brown Sugar
  • 250 g Treacle
  • 185 ml Milk
  • 80 ml Oil
  • 2 eggs
  • Glaze

  • Icing Sugar
  • Water

Steps (6 steps, 55 minutes)

    Heat oven 180 degrees.

    Sift together flours, bicarb, ginger, mixed spice & sugar.

    Mix together treacle, milk, oil & eggs.

  3. 3

    Mix together wet & dry until just combined.

  4. 4

    Pour into tin.

    Bake for 40-45 mins until cooked through.

    Mix icing sugar & water together.

    Pour over the loaf.

  6. 6

    Cut & serve.
