Description

I made this for my mom for Mother's Day! <3

Instructions

  1. Small photo 421 1304871867

Okay, pretend the tissue blossoms aren't there. So you need to get a medium-sized branch (mine was around a foot and a half long).

  2. Small photo 422 1304871987

You need 2 tissue papers: one is green for the leaves and stem and the other is your choice of color for the blossom. Mine was pink. Yup.

  3. Small photo 423 1304872110

Cut each tissue papers into 2 in squares. I had 12 pink squares and 6 green ones. But I think I'll add more.

  4. Small photo 424 1304872459

Cut a green square in half so that it's a green triangle.

  5. Small photo 492 1304872513

Glue the green triangle onto a pink square.

  6. Small photo 493 1304872680

Now you need a pencil. Put the attached pieces on the eraser part of the pencil so that the pink is on the eraser and the green is not.

  7. Small photo 494 1304872783

    Same as above :)

  8. Small photo 497 1304872820

Here, you pinch the bottom of the tissue papers so it kinda looks like a blossom. Slowly pull it off the pencil.

  9. Small photo 499 1304872887

Twist the green part. This is so that the papers won't go poof.

  10. Small photo 515 1304883376

    Now, you need the wire.

  11. Small photo 500 1304872957

Cut some long and short wires. The long ones (about 2 inches) to tie the blossom around the thicker branches (2-3 times around to ensure the flower won't fall off) and the short ones (about 1 inch) for thin branches (my stick has thick and thin branches on it).

  12. Small photo 501 1304873213

Press the paper blossom onto the stick and take the wire. Twist the wire around the flower and the stick. Make sure it is tight and will not fall off. Make and put as many blossoms as you want.

    Like this. :3

Now, you need a jar or vase to put the branch into. After that, the following steps are optional.

  15. Small photo 508 1304873424

To put decorative paper onto the jar to cover the label, I folded tape (best if it's transparent) so that it sticks both sides.

  16. Small photo 505 1304873636

I cut out pretty paper that was wider than the label and long enough to perfectly wrap around the jar.

Tada! Or you could put those smooth, polished rocks you find in the floral aisle in stores in the jar. That'd be pretty, too. Kaching! Another idea!

Okay, not the best picture. But this is what mine looks like. It looks a bit too simple and plain. But you decide. You can have it full and blooming, or simple. Hehe. Bye! :D
