Cut Out + Keep

Tiny Cross Stitched Charms

Using picture frame settings to display bite-sized designs

I bought these picture frame blanks during a late-night ebay binge, and when they arrived I had no idea what I planned to do with them. So I tried to make little needlework designs to fit inside. They're pretty small - the whole frame is 25mm X 19mm. The patterns couldn't take up too much space. I futzed around and created the hearts (one filled in, one not) and "Tea - Oui" logos. First I whipped the edges of the very small squares of aida, then stitched them, then folded them over and jammed them into place. Using a needle, a pulled the corners through the back and sewed from corner to corner. I'll probably dab some glue on the back, where fabric meets frame, later on. Sorry for the poor quality pictures, I only have my webcam to use.
