You Will Need (9 things)

  • Soda can
  • 2 Small Wooden Plank
  • ½ Black Marker
  • Black Ink pad
  • Scissors
  • Handsaw
  • Hot Glue
  • Sand Paper
  • 1 Hand Drill And Bit

Steps (4 steps, 120 minutes)

  1. 1

Cut out the top and bottom of a soda can, carefully while wearing protective gloves. Lay the blank side down and write wording backwards on the metal with a ball point pen.

  2. 2

Flip the metal over, trim it down and then rub the ink pad over the lettering to accentuate the letters.

  3. 3

With the handsaw, cut out pieces of wood from the wood planking. I used the type of plank that one would cook fish on.

  4. 4

Drill a small hole (for the string), lightly sand, and then give it a coat of poly. Hot glue the metal labels to the wood pieces and then thread the string through the hole.
