Do you have a moment? Create your reality each day by making each moment belong to you. Enjoy a unique moment today by making your very own sand timed hourglass.
Watch online tutorial.
Take two identical plastic bulb humming bird feeders and unscrew their bases.
Cut the spiral screw tip off both bulbs.
Take a plastic bottle cap and drill a hole that will allow sand to pour 60 seconds. Test your hole size with a small hole with a bottle measure enough sand that will flow up to 60 seconds.
Hot glue cap with hole to the end of one of the bulb's tip.
Pour measured sand into the other bulb using a funnel and then hot glue the bulb with the cap to seal the bulb with sand.
Hot glue round plastic bead containers to each end of bulbs so create moment glass base stand.
Drill 4 holes in each corner of wood blocks.
Spray paint wood blocks and pipes with copper metallic paint. After paint dries, add hot glue in each holes of one wood block and fasten pipes in each hole. Place over moment glass and then glue/fasten pipes to the other wood block. This will cage the moment glass so it will be tight and secure.
Pick out 2 decorative ceramic tiles and hot glue to the top of each wood block base.
Glue on clear gem stones proportionally on each wood blocks.
Now flip it over and watch the joy of the moment you've deliberately created! ;-)
