This idea was sorta based on something I saw online, but I made it fit better.

Lay out your shirt, and cut off like 5 or 6 inches off the bottom. Set this piece aside for later.
Cut off the sleeves . . .
Cut straight up both sides to the armhole . . .
And cut the top off the shirt just under the neckband.
Measure under your bust, cut that number in half, and center it over your shirt graphic. Cut a rectangle that wide, and as long as you'd like, out of the front piece of your shirt.
With the back piece, straighten up the sides and cut to match the length of your front piece.
Lay your front piece, face down, on your back piece, matching up the short sides, and sew both sides. This will make it a loop for now.
Fold your loop in half, matching up the seams you just made, and cut open the longer back piece.
Remember that bottom piece from the first step? Cut the loop open, and center it over your lower piece. Put right sides together, making sure to line up the raw edges. Sew from one side seam to the other.
Now fold your top on half again, lining up those side seams. Cut through both layers, up to about an inch away from the seams. You're done!!
Getting it on may take some practice. I recommend tying the second strip down under your bust, and the top strip over your bust. Then just continue the rest of the way!!
I made some matching gloves, too! <3
