Using Rit Dye with salt, a tie dye kit, or other fabric setting dye on cotton t-shirt or material (skirts, dresses, pants, sheets, etc)pretty much anyone can tie dye. I've done tie dye with kids as young as 3 yrs old ( we used primary colors and learned about mixing colors and rainbows), through teenagers and adults. Rubber bands, string, masking tape, and just pain knots can be used by themseves or in combination to create designs and prepare fabric to be dyed. (Still having some issues with the "You Will Need" section, but hope to fix that with some better instructions soon.)
