I was looking for some materials for another project ( The Bogan Wine Glass) when I came across this set of woven baskets for just $8! I immediately made plans to paint them in my head, but when I got them home I could see that I wouldn’t get the smooth finish I was looking for without a lot of work. So I took the next best option and used some wool I had lying around in a colour that would match my décor.

Step 1: Thread the needle with your wool. Depending on the gaps in the rattan, you may have to use a smaller needle and jam the wool through.
Step 2: Weave the wool through the gaps in the rattan, pulling through enough wool for the whole project.
Step 3: When you’ve got the width of wool that you want, loop through the last hole and return back to the beginning and tie it off.
