I don't have pictures this time, sorry. But this really is just another take and idea on what you can do with thread wrapping. I love costume jewelry, but some lose their colour and irritates my skin. I had these beautiful stacking rings but they became unwearable. They gave my skin around the rings this blueish tint and smelled like copper. So I had to change them!

You simply take the ring and use exactly the technique found in my previous tutorial, found here: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/thread-wrapping As you see I made the "knots" on the inside so that the rings look nice and smooth. Take a needle work the excess thread away and you are done!
