This was the first scarf I started in my knitting venture. I used size 8 needles and two skeins of baby yarn in soft pink and soft green, which are Kelsy appropriate colors... trust me if you know a Kelsy... well i take that back there's only one Kelsy... ever. :o)

This was the first scarf I started in my knitting venture. I used size 8 needles and two skeins of baby yarn in soft pink and soft green, which are Kelsy appropriate colors... trust me if you know a Kelsy... well i take that back there's only one Kelsy... ever. :o)

Instructions

  1. Small 18669

The pattern for this scarf goes as follows... Green Yarn = Color A Pink Yarn = Color B Cast On 24 Stitches Work Twin Rib pattern as follows :Row 1: With A Knit 3 Purl 3 :Row 2: Knit 1 Purl 1 :Row 3: Knit 3 Purl 3 :Row 4: Introduce B (either by tying it it or weaving) and Knit 1 Purl 1 :Row 5: Knit 3 Purl 3 :Row 6: Switch to A and Knit 1 Purl 1 :Row 7: Knit 3 Purl 3 :Row 8: Knit 1 Purl 1 :Row 9: Knit 3 Purl 3 :Row 10: With B Knit 1 Purl 1 :Row 11: Knit 3 Purl 3 Repeat Rows 6 through 11 until you reach your desired length and bind off. The nice thing about this pattern is normally when you're alternating between two or more colors there is a right side and a wrong side, and this doesn't have one! The wrong side is the back of the pattern that kinda looks a little odd and sometimes can take away from the look of the project, but with the twin rib pattern on this scarf you can't see the wrong side and therefore both sides look the same. this is one of my favorite stitches to use and i suggest trying it it whatever you end up making!
