Although they require a needle and thread, these DIY pumpkins are a great project for beginner crafters. It’s hard to mess these up because they are so forgiving.
These sweet little DIY fabric pumpkins are the perfect project to do with your friends and family over the weekend, and they’ll be sure to get you in the fall spirit. Although they require a needle and thread, these DIY pumpkins are a great project for beginner crafters. It’s hard to mess these up because they are so forgiving.
Gather your supplies.
Draw a circle with your marker onto the fabric using a plate as your circle template.
Cut out the circle.
Thread your need & sew. You’ll sew around the border of the circle until the thread meets. Cinch the threads a bit to create a pumpkin-like shape. Don’t close it off just yet though.
Stuff your pumpkin with stuffing.
Close the pumpkin by pulling the treads tight and knotting them.
Using the burlap, cut out leaves.
Hot glue the leaves and a few pieces of jute twine to the pumpkin.
Insert a twig to make the stem.
Wrap the jute twine around the stem to create a finished look.
Decorate with your pumpkins!
