About

These pretty tealight houses have a simple but stylish Scandinavian look that is very appealing. Set the finished row of houses up on the mantelshelf with a tealight behind each house section – the open windows and doors will be lit with a warm glow, making a charming display.

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Tracing Paper
  • Pencil
  • 9 x 20 in. (22 x 50cm) thin white Card
  • Scalpel or Craft Knife
  • Cutting Mat
  • Metal Ruler
  • Tealights

Steps (4 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Enlarge the templates by 200 percent. With tracing paper and a pencil, trace the template and carefully transfer the outline onto the thin white card.

  2. 2

Using a scalpel or craft knife, cut out the outline of the houses. Cut out the windows and decorations on the houses, taking care not to cut the indicated score lines.

  3. 3

Score the fold lines where indicated and fold back. Score down between each house.

  4. 4

Fold one house forward and one house back to make a corrugated row of houses. Place a tealight behind each house at a safe distance.
