A friend of mine is expecting. So as an additional baby shower gift, I decided to make her a fun tote bag. I used a pattern from the Sublime Stitching Craft Pad and stitched it on the white fabric, backed it with thin batting and did a zigzag stitch around the edge to make it look like a patch. I then top stitched it onto the flap for the bag and put the whole thing together. I think it turned out pretty snazzy. My friend shrieked and immediately swapped everything from her purse to my bag, so I think she liked it too.

You will need

6 skein Embroidery Floss This really depends on how many colors you want to use Pattern This is for the bag itself. I used Butterick #2972 Bag E Pattern This is for the embroidery pattern. *Thank you Sublime Stitching!* 1 T Shirt I used one mens XL 5 yd Fabric This is for the lining. I used some quilting calico print.
