Here are a couple of fun, trendy jewelry projects that you can whip up in less than an hour. You can use twine in different colors or embroidery floss (I used Divine Twine from WhiskerGraphics.com).

Make 6 small tassels using Divine Twine. Wrap the Divine Twine vertically around the card about 12 times.
Cut a 5-6″ strand of Divine Twine and slip it inside looped twine, as pictured.
Tie the strand in a knot at the top of the loop of twine, as pictured.
Cut through the bottom of the loop in straight line, as pictured, forming the “tassel.”
Use the remaining strands (the ones used to tie the knot in Step 3), and wrap the strands around the top of the tassel. Secure the ends with a dab of glue. Set aside to dry.
After all 6 tassels are completed and the glue has dried, attach them to a necklace chain, using jump rings.
Start by securing the end of your first color of Divine Twine to the inside of the bracelet with glue. Wrap the twine around the bracelet to create a band of color. Cut the strand and secure the end in place, on the inside of the bracelet.
Repeat step 1, rotating colors, until the entire bangle is covered. Don’t be afraid to experiment with patterns!
