My mother asked me to make her the cape version of this Simplicity sewing pattern. It actually is only two pattern pieces, a really loose fit, and they have a generous imagination for one size fits all. However, it will be perfect for walking the dog around the neighborhood. She also asked me to make her a new sweater for the dog, she is 13 years old and gets cold easily. Just to be silly I made it all the in the matching tartan, and with the leftover material I made a quick scarf. Breakdown of the time: Cape: 2 hours Dog Coat: (Including drafting time) 1.5 hours Scarf: 5 minutes As you can see, Tibby does NOT enjoy wearing coats. (*I used the drafting method from SewDoggyStyle.com for the dog coat)
