A friend of mine bought a cheap table that looked like it was made out of cardboard. After he agreed that I could paint it, I chose the tarot card theme because I was very interested in it at the time. I drew the design in pencil first, from an image found online (see the third photo) and made borders around it to make the circular shape work. Then I painted it with acrylic paints and sprayed on a varnish when it was dry. I grew very attached to the table in the process and so my friend let me keep it, which was a plus.
