I love hand/ wrist warmers so I decided to make my own using a pair that fit well as a pattern.
I love hand/ wrist warmers so I decided to make my own using a pair that fit well as a pattern.
First lay out your t shirt scrap, I only needed a sleeve, but I used and XL. Place the hand warmer you are going to model it after on top so that the folds of the fabric line up ( so you only have to sew one side)
Cut about a quater of an inch around, to alow for seams. When you open it, yours should look like this <-----
next pin and sew the side, making sure not to sew the thumb-hole closed.
pin and sew along the top and bottom.
It should look like this now <-------- Next you will sew the sides of the thumb-hole individually, for this part I hand stitched it.
I do not know the name of the stitch but here is a pretty good close up of it. I only went through the fabric in one direction if that helps at all.
Ta Da!
