Right- this dress worked for me as I don't have massive boobs! -fits a treat but I don't know how it'd work for people with bigger boobs- make sure you size the arms up- see if they'll fit!! This was a UK Large men's top and It was able to fit my measurements: Bust- 36" Waist- 29" Hips- 38" Good luck!!!

Description

Right- this dress worked for me as I don't have massive boobs! -fits a treat but I don't know how it'd work for people with bigger boobs- make sure you size the arms up- see if they'll fit!! This was a UK Large men's top and It was able to fit my measurements: Bust- 36" Waist- 29" Hips- 38" Good luck!!!

Instructions

  1. Small img 1571

Firstly- ready the tshirt by removing both sleeves with a seam ripper or scissors. KEEP THEESE! When completed, cut up both sides. (from armpit to hem) Also cut off the neckline of the tshirt in a straight line. Leave as much tshirt left as possible.

  2. Small untitled 1

Time to use the arms! Use this picture to fold up the arms to make them into the top half of the dress. These pieces will cover breasts and have halter strap attached to each.

  3. Small untitled 3

Now- measure your underbust, waist and hips. Then measure downwards on your body from underbust to waist (approx7-8") then from waist to your widest part (hips) This will then give the dress shape. You then use these measurements to map out your shape. (You could use an existing dress if you like to save measuring etc)

  4. Turn right-sides in, pin and sew up the side edges only.

  5. Small img 1585

When sewn, turn over the top off the dress and pin the breast covers into the front. Lining the middle of the two breast covers to the middle of the dress.

  6. Small untitled 2

Pin the breast covers to the middle of the dress and around the sides to the back. This will ensure maximum coverage with minimum boob-slippage! When pinned, sew all around top of dress then sew breast covers together in the middle of both. (where pin is on picture)

  7. Small untitled 4

When breast covers are sewn in- time for halter strap. For this, I put dress on then got a length of coordinating ribbon, placed it around my neck to the top of each breast cover. I then marked and cut this- leaving about 1-2" each end for turning etc. Pin this and sew as seen in picture

You then have a lovely halter strap. **If you find you accidentally made it too long- cut in middle of strap, measure to size, pin and sew. then cut off excess. ** if too short then find middle of ribbon, cut and add in elastic or more ribbon.

And there you have a lovely fitted summer dress. The dress looks more fitted once on :D Hope this was helpful!!
