My sushi pillows!

Easy to make,
nice and cosy to have!

The foam rubber is a bit expensive, so make sure you have a good idea before buying this.

(I might make a big roll later, so that might come soon!)

You Will Need (9 things)

  • Foam Rubber
  • Sewing Machine
  • Needle , Thread And Scissor
  • Yellow Fabric
  • Bordeaux Red Fabric
  • Orange Fabric
  • Black Fabric
  • Filling / Stuffing
  • Fake Scheep Faux Fur Fabric

Steps (20 steps, 240 minutes)

  1. 1

Cut the foam rubber in the size you want the sushi(the rice) to be.

    I used 25 inch X 10 inch.

  2. 2

Now cut the ´fake sheep fur´ fabric
very precisely, ´cause this fabric is a bit expensive.

  3. 3

Fold the fabric around the foam rubber like wrapping up a present. Attach this with pins.

  4. 4

Then stitch this with needle and white thread.

    For the shrimp sushi,
    start with step 5

    For the tuna sushi,
    start with step 8

    For the egg sushi,
    start with step 12

Finish the sushi at step 16

  5. 5

    The shrimp:

Fold the orange fabric and make a pattern of a shrimp(only one side).
Make this about the same size as the rice.
Then cut the shrimp like this
    <<<

  6. 6

Now it will look like this
    <<<

    Make this twice.

  7. 7

Attach the two pieces of fabric(right sides in) to eachother with pins.
And stitch this, but leave a small piece open.

Now fold the shrimp inside out, and fill it with small pieces of foam or teddybear-filling.

    Finished!

  8. 8

    The tuna sushi:

Cut the bordeaux red fabric like this:

    <<

  9. 9

Stitch the sides(right sides in) like this(or with sewing machine)
    <

  10. 10

Now it will look like this
    <<

Fold the (almost) tuna inside out and fill it with teddybear-filling.

  11. 11

Stitch the open piece with red thread.

    Finished!

  12. 12

    The egg sushi:

Cut the yellow fabric like this
    <<

  13. 13

Now attach the 'ribon' to one side with pins, and stitch this.

  14. 14

Stitch the other side on it, but leave a small gap.
    Turn the fabric inside out.

  15. 15

Now stuff it with teddybear-filling or foam rubber.

    Stitch the last open gap.

    Finished!

  16. 16

    Finishing touch:

Cut a ribbon out of the black fabric.
About 3 inch X (long enough to be wrapped around the sushi)

  17. 17

Fold the sides of the ribbon with pins and iron this.

  18. 18

    Now stitch the sides.

  19. 19

Cover the rice+(egg, tuna, shrimp, or something else) with the black ribbon and sew this.

  20. 20

    Finished!
    Enjoy!
