Surrealist Corpse is a Surrealist drawing activity based on an old parlour game called 'consequences'. You can do it with words or pictures. You need 2-4 people to play this game. Taken from my book; Draw Paint Print like the Great Artists, Laurence King Publishing.
Take a sheet of paper, any size, and fold it into 4 equal parts.
Fold it into itself so that you only see the top part. If it helps you can number the parts on the top right hand corner of each fold. PARTS 1-4
The first person should draw a head on PART 1 and leave a neck line on PART 2.
Now pass the paper to the next person. He or she should draw a body middle on PART 2 and leave a body continuation line on PART 3.
Pass the paper to the next person and now add legs to PART 3 and leave leg continuation lines on PART 4.
Finally without looking at any of the other drawings!, the next person will draw the rest of the legs and feet. Open to reveal your strange person or creature. When you draw try to vary your subjects to get more surprising results. You can draw mythical creatures, animals, objects, vegetables, add wings instead of arms, or a piece of fruit for a head. There are no rules!
