One of my very best friends is leaving me for over a month to go on a holiday to Bali. To make sure she won't forget me while she's losing her heart to some handsome Balinese guy, I made these cute, little envelopes which contain a little surprise for every day to surprise her again and again. This envelopes would make the person gift for loved ones. They are cheap, fun to make and even more fun to receive. As my friend left for 30 days, and I couldn't come up with 30 ideas to fill the envelopes with, I only made 16 envelopes. To give an example, I made them for the days 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 13... etc. Have fun making these wonderful gifts! p.s. In some pictures you see Dutch scentences, I'm sorry for not doing it in English, but I really do use thise envelopes as a gift and it would be a little weird to reveive a present in the wrong language.

Print the numbers 0 - 9. I used the font Arial bold 250.
Cut them out. You can use your stanley knife and scissors for this step.
Take different colours and patterns of your paper.
Lay your black cutout numbers on the patterned paper, and draw the silhouette. If you want to have the number 15, you have to draw the silhouette of a 1 and a 5.
Cut them out. You can use your stanley knife and scissors for this step.
Glue your numbers on the envelopes. The numbers are representing the day that you may open the envelope.
Fill the envelopes with... ...nice pictures
...little gifts like a friendship bracelet
...letters from loved ones
...games
...sweet scentences about friendship, love, happiness etc. Or anything else you like.
...
Now you're done with filling the envelopes! Write a letter to the person you're giving this to, saying something like: 'This gift contains 16 envelopes. In every envelope I hid something, and you'll find out what. On day one you can open the envelope with 1 on it, on day two the envelope with 2 on it etc.' Have fun giving this present and make lots of people very happy :D
