Summer Fresh Herbs Year Round!

I just HATE seeing beautiful fresh herbs go to waste! I learned this secret years ago and have since enjoyed the taste of summer all year long.

You Will Need (3 things)

  • Ice Cube Tray
  • Fresh Herbs
  • Olive Oil

Steps (3 steps, 20 minutes)

    Today I used Fresh Basil!

    Remove stems and mince lightly with just a drizzle of Canola or Vegetable oil.

    You only want the herbs to become more compact, not make a paste.

    Pack herbs into Ice Cube Tray.

    Make them different sizes so you can just grab the size you need when cooking.

    Add just a bit of water over the top to help prevent freezer burn.

    When they are frozen, simply put them in a freezer safe baggy and grab one for your soups, stews, pizza and spaghetti sauce.

    The added flavor is UH-mazing!
