A few weeks ago I was contacted to test a new Sublime Stitching Fine Tip Iron-on Transfer Pen. I don’t usually do embroidery work but I thought I would give it a try. After all there are many other uses in sewing for these pens of many colors and they do come in other colors than the lovely blue that I received. Now for a project idea! I had another project that was a complete fail when I literally lost all of the photos that documented the step by step use, due to camera/computer/ME issue. Arrg!! So… rather than cry over lost work (I can do this later) I got started on a quicker smaller project that can meet the deadline, baby booties/shoes. I have to say that the pens worked beautifully. The lines the pen created were thin and didn't bleed out or smear when ironed. I would highly recommend them, especially for detailed or delicate work. Note: the ink is permanent.

Choose project, choose design to be embroidered on the project and gather supplies.
Trace your choice of design onto tracing paper using transfer pen. I used a shamrock and did a mirror design to use on each shoe.
Iron on interfacing.
Measure for placement of design and iron on design.
Place pieces to be embroidery in hoop and embroider design.
Sew pieces of project together as pattern directs.
TA-DA Your project is finished!
