I was browsing a Japanese craft site (using Google's translator...which often creates confusing but funny translations) and found this very simple, but attractive way to add some uniqueness to your packages or anything else you need tape for. And it's a great use for fabric scraps too small to do much with. So here's my version of this "trendy tape" in English for you.

Description

I was browsing a Japanese craft site (using Google's translator...which often creates confusing but funny translations) and found this very simple, but attractive way to add some uniqueness to your packages or anything else you need tape for. And it's a great use for fabric scraps too small to do much with. So here's my version of this "trendy tape" in English for you.

Instructions

  1. Small dscn0068 1238477693

Stick strips of the double sided tape to the backside of the fabric. (It's hard to seen in the pic, but the reflection/shiny parts on the fabric is the tape.)

  2. Small dscn0070 1238478023

Cut the fabric along the sides of the tape with scissors. (I actually found it kind of hard to see the tape well enough to know where I needed to cut.)

  3. Small dscn0070 1238478080

Cut your fabric/tape strips to the length you desire with a pair of pinking shears. If you don't have pinking shears you can use regular scissors. But pinking shears give the ends that "notched" look that tape often has.

  4. Small dscn0071 1238478163

Stick your tape where you want it. Kawaii, neh?
