Stuffed Bread Fritters(Bread Pakoda)

This is a south Indian snack. usually plain bread is cut diagonally battered and deep fried. It is served with mint and cilantro chutney. I have made a sandwich and then battered and deep fried it to make it more filling. Try it and tell me if you like it :)

You Will Need (17 things)
- 1 boiled, peeled and sliced Potato
- 1 sliced Onion
- 1 sliced Tomato
- Ketchup

Mint chutney
- a bunch of Mint Leaves (washed)
- Salt to taste
- 4 -5 Green Chili
- a bunch of Coriander Leaves (washed)
- 1 pinch Black Salt
- Water (a little)

For batter
- 1 cup Chickpea Flour
- 2 pinch Asafoetida powder
- 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
- 6 slices of white Bread
Steps (8 steps, 30 minutes)

Grind the mint chutney ingredients to a thick paste using required amount of water.

Thinly slice onions and boiled potatoes. sprinkle with salt and pepper and keep aside.

Make sandwiches:
Spread the mint chutney on one slice of the bread and ketchup on the other side.
Place slices of onion, boiled potato and tomato and make a sandwich. -

In a bowl, mix all the batter ingredients and make a fairly thick batter adding water.

Place the sandwich in the batter bowl and spoon batter over the entire sandwich.

Heat oil in a wok to smoking point.
Deep fry the sandwich till golden brown and crispy.

Remove and drain the excess oil.

Slice the sandwich diagonally and serve hot with ketchup and mint-coriander chutney.
