So this was my first time making a bag. Some of my lines aren't strait but I think it's pretty good for my first time and I'm not the best with a sewing machine. Basically what I'm saying is if I can do it anyone can. lol... I actually found the pattern for it online at the link below. tinyhappy.typepad.com/tiny_happy/2006/06/shoulder_bag_tu.html I wont even try and explain how to make it considering all the info you need is on that site. Although I did change my measurements a bit. I made my bag a little bit deeper the strap a few inches longer and not quite as wide. It's up to you however you like it. I think the next one I make will be a little deeper and a little rounder instead of so sqaure but this one was an experiment. As for my materials they were super cheap I got the 2 fabrics for less than 5 bucks and I just made my paper pattern out of wrapping paper Luckily I had a sewing machine. I bet if a person wanted to it would be doable by hand. It would just take a very long time. I love this bag all it needs is a button. It definitely took a lot of work with all the pinning and sewing but it was still really easy and I definitely think it's a good starter bag. Well I hope you all enjoy it! I'll post another one as soon as I find some more great fabric. Comment me if you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them.
