You Will Need (7 things)
- wide Ribbon
- Button(s)
- Needle And Thread
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Pen /Pencil
- Ruler
Steps (7 steps, 10 minutes)
-
1
Gather your supplies!
You'll need-
24inches of ribbon (less depending on the size of your book)
Hot Glue Gun
Needle and Thread
Button(s)
Pencil or Pen
Scissors and Ruler -
2
Start buy gluing your hair elastic to the ribbon. About 1 inch from the end,=.
If it has a connector bit, like mine in the picture, you want to cover that part with the ribbon.
-
3
Then fold the short end of the ribbon over the elastic and glue the end down so it lays flat.
-
4
To find out how much ribbon you'll need, open the book, place the ribbon midway through the book, close it, put the elastic around the tip of a pencil/pen and stretch the elastic up to the other end of the ribbon and make a mark where the button should go.
You want to find a good spot for the button, don't make your elastic stretch too much that it is hard to stretch, but you don't want it too loose that it might fall out.
-
5
Take the ribbon off the book and trim the long end 1-2 inches from the mark you made.
Sew your button on where you made your mark.
-
6
Add hot glue to the end and fold it across the knot where you sewed on the button.

Voila! Your done :)
Enjoy <3
