Sticky Gingerbread Loaf

The longer you keep this, the better it becomes.
This recipe makes a good sized loaf or you could bake it in a cake tin.
You could put icing on top of the loaf or serve with butter.

You Will Need (11 things)
- 225 g Self-Raising Flour
- 1 tsp Bicarbonate Of Soda
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Mixed Spice
- 115 g Butter Cut into squares
- 115 g Treacle
- 115 g Syrup
- 115 g Brown Sugar
- 275 ml Milk
- 1 Egg
Steps (8 steps, 75 minutes)

Heat oven 180 degrees.
Sift flour, Bicarb, ginger, cinnamon & mixed spice together.

Rub the butter into flour mixture.

In a pan heat treacle & syrup until runny.
Set aside to cool down to Luke warm.

In a pan heat milk & sugar together until sugar is melted.
Set aside to cool until Luke warm.

Pour the milk mixture & the treacle mixture into the flour mixture.
Mix to combine.
Add the egg & stir through.

Pour into a loaf tin.
Bake for 45 mins. Until cooked through.
Allow to cool completely.

Wrap the gingerbread in baking paper & foil & eat tomorrow.
The longer you keep it the stickier it gets.
