Stenciled Table Makeover

This is by far my favorite project I have done to date! I was really getting tired of all my dark furniture. Everything was black! When we bought our house I really wanted to brighten things up. I started working on the table makeover before we moved. A new coat of paint and a beautiful stencil on top makes for a gorgeous new table!

Description

This is by far my favorite project I have done to date! I was really getting tired of all my dark furniture. Everything was black! When we bought our house I really wanted to brighten things up. I started working on the table makeover before we moved. A new coat of paint and a beautiful stencil on top makes for a gorgeous new table!

Instructions

  1. Small 109855 2f2015 07 16 021653 table%2b3

    Table Before.

  2. Small 109855 2f2015 07 16 021759 table%2b4

I started with sanding the top of the table as the previous paint job created some small bubbling on the top of the table.

  3. Small 109855 2f2015 07 16 021811 table%2b5

Then spray paint the table and chairs with a primer.

  4. Small 109855 2f2015 07 16 021949 table%2b6

I then painted the table and chairs with one of my favorite colors...Accesible Beige by Sherwin Williams. I gave it a good 2-3 coats of paint.

  5. Small 109855 2f2015 07 16 022209 table%2b9

Once it was dry I recovered the chairs and started stenciling on the top of the table. I used Disney Metallic Paint from Walmart for the stencil. I loved the sutble shimmer it created on the top of the table. Once it was all said and done I put 3-4 coats of polyurethane on the top of the table as it was going to be used daily.
