This one of a kind journal was created using Canvascorpsbrands, Naturally Aged Kit - Rusty Metal Paint Kit. I used charms, chains, and other odds and ends to get the steampunk look and then applied the paint kit. Easy and fun

Start with a journal, any kind of journal. This is a small moleskin one.
You're going to be layering the top, so start with some pictures or stamps. Be sure to thoroughly glue to the edges so they don't curl. I used a glue stick for this step.
Using the E6000 glue, start adding charms and beads. Is this enough? I don't think so. I'm going to keep adding more.
I'm starting to like it. I've added some chains and more beads and charms. I've also put some paper towels underneath it as now I'm going to use canvascorpsbrand naturally aged paint system.
I lightly spray the butternut squash glimmer mist over the whole face of the journal.
Next, I lightly spray the woven burlap glimmer mist in spots, not over the whole face.
The tattered leather glimmer mist is sprayed in over places not touched by the woven burlap mist. Finally, a light mist of the butternut squash. Let dry thoroughly.
Here it is. I love the busy, cluttered steampunk look. Give it a try.
