These projects were a complete pleasure to make. I found it more practical to hit up thrift and second hand stores for broke and wound down pocket watches for around 5 bucks a pop or less. Then I took an hour dismantling them, which was half the fun. Note: Use your educated guesses to buy watches older than the last ten years. Newer ones are fakes with just batteries on the inside. Using small jump rings, you can thread the gears to your earring hooks. Use super glue or a soldering iron to cement gears to each other. Then rock on with your timely self!
