Ginger Steamed Pudding

Sweet & Moist pudding.
You can add 4 tbsp of chopped stem ginger to the mix if you like.

You Will Need (12 things)
- 180 g Butter
- 6 tbsp Syrup
- 2 tbsp white Sugar
- 150 g Plain Flour
- 2 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 150 g Brown Sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup Milk

- Icecream
Steps (10 steps, 100 minutes)

Butter the pudding dish/bowl.
Place 2 tbsp of syrup in the bottom of the bowl.

Place 2 tbsp water, 30g butter, white sugar & syrup in a pan.
Bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved.
Put 3 tbsp of syrup in bottom of the bowl.

Sift together the flour, ginger & baking powder in a separate bowl.

Cream the brown sugar & 150 g butter together until light & fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time.
Mix well.

Add the flour mixture & milk alternately.

Pour mixture on top of the syrup.

Place baking paper & foil lid on top.
Place in a pot of hot water and cover.
Simmer for 1 hr 30 mins until Sponge feels firm.

Tip the pudding out & top with remaining syrup.

Serve with custard or Icecream
